Our client is a well-known company in the design, manufacture, worldwide sales and marketing of innovative noninvasive monitoring solutions. The key to their success is a modern competitive product and motivated workforce that offer innovative solutions to enhance patient outcomes and minimize the cost of care. At the moment they are looking for an Area Sales Manager (m/f/d) to work actively on their Dutch-speaking market.

Description and responsibilities

  • Responsible for sales of all company's products in the assigned territory (50% of The Netherlands)
  • Planning and executing strategies to convert accounts (single departments and/or the whole hospital) to the use of the products in a high-competitive market
  • Engaging in selling of accounts, including qualification, demonstration and closure of competitive and exclusive products, positioning our client’s technology as the new standard of care in pulse-oximetry and other noninvasive blood parameters’ monitoring systems
  • Ability to make product demonstrations and negotiations both with physicians and hospital administrators (bio-medical engineers, purchasing managers, etc.)
  • Partnering with appropriate Distributors and OEM sales personnel in planning and executing sales strategies to convert accounts
  • Providing information to upper management including market trends, competitive activity, product design needs, regulatory, and production requirements
  • Participating in hospital bid tenders
  • Maintaining thorough product knowledge including ability to demonstrate products, position products vs. competitive products and in service end-users
  • Providing regular sales forecasts to upper management
  • Managing expense budget for all required activities

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar level of education
  • Proven track record of selling both disposable products and capital equipment to hospitals and the ability to communicate value based solutions
  • 3+ years of Medical Device Sales experience; Patient Monitoring systems are highly advantageous
  • Experience calling physicians and hospital administrators (bio-medical engineers, purchasing managers)
  • Demonstrated conceptual, analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Comfortable in high visibility situations and exhibits strong self-confidence
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English with an exceptional ability to lead group presentations
  • Demonstrated self-starter; a "hands-on" individual who enjoys challenge and is dedicated to getting the job done with minimal support and direction
  • Accustomed to a heavy travel schedule
  • PC literate
  • Excellent organizational, communication, writing, and project management skills
