Our client is a quantum technology startup based in Ulm, Germany, with Tier 1 investors from Silicon Valley, Europe, and Israel. Their goal is to enable non-invasive imaging of metabolism in the body without radiation using quantum technology, improving the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, cardiovascular disease, and neurological disorders. They collaborate with leading cancer centers in the US and EU- such as the University of California San Francisco, Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York, MD Anderson in Texas, Technical University of Munich, and Cambridge University in the UK - and are just leaving stealth mode, moving from local R&D to global commercialization and expansion.

As a global Sales Manager (m/f/d), you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales and go-to-market strategies, generating leads, defining pricing and deal structures, and closing deals starting at the global level (focus on EU5 and US). You will work closely with our client's business development and management team to refine their sales approach and grow the business. Depending on your success and ambition, you may be responsible for developing and leading a sales team as Sales Director / VP, likely within the next 12-18 months.

Description and responsibilities

  • Developing leads and closing deals to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to ensure long-term and repeat business
  • Working with our client's key industrial partners to develop joint business opportunities
  • Managing the CRM system to track leads, customers, and deals, and provide regular reports to senior management
  • Pitching at international conferences and other events to generate new leads, and represent our client with a professional and engaging demeanor
  • Collaborating with the Marketing team to define the content of information material
  • Working with the Customer Success team to ensure that customers are satisfied and receive high-quality support and service

Your profile

  • Based in Europe or US East Coast
  • Preferably advanced scientific degree
  • A proven academic and/or work background in Magnetic Resonance Imaging; a background in Spectroscopy / x-nuclei is a plus
  • Proven experience as a Sales Rep or Manager (e.g., regional manager)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and engaging demeanor
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time, both domestically and internationally, e.g. to attend conferences, visit potential customers, and close deals.
  • Previous experience with tender processes is a plus but not mandatory
  • Understanding of available grants (EU/US) by users is a plus but not mandatory
  • Proficiency in standard Office products and CRM systems
  • English proficiency (German language skills are a plus but not mandatory)
