Our client is the leader in precision dispensing, fluid management, and related technologies, operating in 30 countries. The company engineers, manufactures, and markets differentiated products for dispensing adhesives, coatings, sealants, biomaterials, and other materials.

The company is seeking a Principal Financial Analyst (m/w/d) in Münster to strengthen the international Finance team.

Description and responsibilities

  • Responsible for analyzing financial and management reports, advising global management, including all locations, and supporting business decisions based on transparent data.  
  • Responsible for overseeing all operational and global business areas, including planning and forecasting, asset management, and ad hoc analysis as required. 
  • Interpreting operating results that impact the financial aspects of the business and making specific recommendations that result in cost reductions and profit increases. 
  • Preparing income statements and balance sheets for the global company, including all locations, analytical charts, and graphs showing the progression of conditions and results. 
  • Being independently responsible for and coordinating the accuracy, completeness, and timing of the operational and strategic planning processes, including the identification of key issues, objectives, risks, and opportunities for the regional and cross-regional companies 
  • Providing financial analysis and support to the organization, including capital expenditure justification and analysis, sales trend analysis, competitive and market analysis, and product line P&L development. - Review financial statements, explain variances, and present financial information to management 
  • Providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, P&L, and financial trends to assist management in fulfilling their responsibilities. 
  • Collaborating with global business and functional teams to identify cost-reduction opportunities and assist with bottom-line savings. 
  • Utilizing appropriate financial analysis techniques, data, and prudent assumptions to evaluate investment opportunities and ensure a healthy return on investment while managing risk 
  • Consolidating and ensuring data integrity for all global units of the division.
  • Developing processes for effective data analysis and reporting for all global units for the division.
  • Creating a visual summary of performance and key metrics related to the business framework and reporting it quarterly for all global units within the division.
  • Independently managing, developing, and improving FP&A and control policies, procedures, work processes, and reporting systems to support growth and efficiency while reducing complexity and increasing speed for all global division units.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Master’s in Business Administration and/or certification as CA/CPA and/or CMA is preferred.
  • Several years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, including exposure to manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to receive assignments in the form of objectives with goals and processes to meet goals outlined.
  • Able to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms.
  • Solid account background and strong demonstrated communication skills.
  • Fluent Oral and written English language skills for high-level reporting and meetings
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving, good communication skills, precise work style, and ability to cope with tight deadlines
  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization while clearly understanding the objectives and financial commitments of the businesses.
  • Superior technical and financial skills and hands-on data modeling skills, balanced with sound business judgment, including the ability to balance financial and operational factors, analyze complex business problems, and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Very strong Business Intelligence (e.g. Power BI) and Excel skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers or other internal customers
  • Very good German and English skills (written and spoken)
