Territory Sales Manager – West-/Central-Germany (m/f/d)

Our client is a multinational company and a worldwide leader in the foodservice supply industry. To support their DACH sales team, we are currently looking for an enthusiastic and sales-driven Territory Sales Manager (m/f/d) who will be responsible for West and Central Germany. The goal for this position is to develop the sales within this region and in addition, maintain and develop relationships with existing customers.

Description and responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Director of Sales
  • Assigned territory: Region “West” incl. Muenster, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Frankfurt, Göttingen
  • Managing the assigned territory, including end users (B2B), healthcare groups, hotel- and restaurant chains, etc. by developing strong customer relationships.
  • Prospecting new business opportunities within the region and expanding market presence.
  • Independently organizing and planning sales trips and visits to clients and potential clients.
  • Creating and executing sales strategies to meet and exceed territory sales goals and quotas.
  • Working closely with distributors and key accounts to drive sales and increase market penetration.
  • Using tools like Salesforce and Power BI to track sales performance, monitor key accounts, and maintain accurate records.
  • Providing field sales support, conducting joint sales calls, and training distributor sales teams on products and promotions.
  • Building long-term relationships with key customers, ensuring regular communication, and addressing their needs.
  • Participating in trade shows and sales events to represent the company and promote products.

Your profile

  • Several years of successful track record in a sales position within the foodservice industry.
  •  Experience with selling heavy equipment is a plus.
  •  Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing or similar qualification.
  •  Confident but modest personality.
  •  Good networking abilities and extremely well organized.
  •  Strong organizational, analytical, communication, presentation, negotiation, and persuasive sales skills.
  •  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  •  Prior experience with Salesforce is a plus.
  •  Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  •  Excellent language skills in German, and fluency in English.
  • Ability to think strategically, execute sales tactics, and analyze markets.
  • Enjoy traveling and entertaining, including trips to visit subsidiaries, trade shows, and sales meetings outside of the territory to support the International Team.
  • Work from home office, and spend up to 50% of nights on the road if necessary.
  • Valid Passport and driver’s license and be able to travel freely throughout the territory by car.
