Our client develops and markets mobility solutions that form a sustainable basis for future transport. The product portfolio ranges from high-speed trains, metros, monorails and trams to integrated systems, tailor-made services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility solutions. Our client is looking for a Commissioning Engineer signalling (f/m/d) to join their team.

Description and responsibilities

  • Carrying out commissioning work and troubleshooting on train protection systems
  • Troubleshooting and fault diagnosis: independent rectification of complex faults
  • Carrying out work in the company's own workshops and also in customer workshops
  • Preparation of commissioning instructions for the ETCS system (European Train Control) for various trains and locomotives. This includes compiling information from various documents and carrying out commissioning of the ETCS system at the customer's premises, both static and dynamic.
  • Preparation of test and error reports
  • Analysis and solution development of the faults encountered during commissioning with the ETCS developers at the Alstom Competence Centre in Charleroi, Belgium.
  • Training of the customer's commissioning or service personnel so that they can commission the ETCS system independently
  • Service work at the end customer
  • Preparation of documents within the scope of commissioning

Your profile

  • Ideally fluent German and English skills both in written and oral form
  • Completed vocational training as a mechatronics technician or similar education/studies
  • Several years of professional experience in a comparable position in an industrial company
  • A high degree of independence, solution-oriented approach, understanding of complex interrelationships
  • Assertiveness, flexibility and ability to work under pressure
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Team-oriented personality
  • Confident handling of MS Office
  • High willingness to travel
