At the moment they are looking for a Hospital Systems Support Specialist (m/f/d).

Description and responsibilities

In the role of Hospital Systems Support Specialist (m/f/d) you are responsible for performing failure analysis activities, which have typically been escalated from Technical Services.
  • Responsible for 2nd & 3rd level technical support of the company's network based central monitoring and paging systems using LAN/WAN, WLAN and VLAN topologies in various hospital environments
  • Supporting / troubleshooting system problems, including configuring and coordinating with our client, vendors or hospital staff (nursing, doctors maintenance, IT and biomedical) on the support of all component items including such items as brackets, cables, routers, access points, bridges, and switches
  • Providing entire supplied system technical expertise and participating in technical training
  • Assisting with product sales and proposals as requested
  • Working with the clinical team to validate and test newly installed systems
  • Frequently contributing to the development of new concepts, theories and principles to enhance existing and new product design
  • Training the technical support (1st & 2nd level) staff to increase customer support capabilities
  • Working on multifaceted problems that may require new and creative thinking to the completion of the project
  • Utilizing good judgment within broad policies and practices to complete established goals and maintaining flexibility to allow changes
  • Acting in a leadership role as a principal technical customer contact, and may interfacing with all levels of company and customer staff and management
  • Functioning as an additional resource to the Installation and Tech Services Support team, as needed
  • The goal is to become recognized as the go-to person for Customer issues and to become the interface between the Support organization and Design Engineering

Your profile

  • Several years of medical, biomedical or network experience
  • Knowledge of networking using TCP/IP protocol in a Wireless environment
  • Knowledge of 802.11x standards
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, troubleshooting, electronics and design
  • Established self-starter with excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong ‘hands-on’ skills, with ability to perform detail-oriented work with high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical staff
  • Excellent and effective oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated technical writing ability with good organizational skills
  • Understanding of networking and medical terms and concepts
  • Willingness and ability to travel with little notice
  • Flexible and able to ‘change gears’ to accomplish goals
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken

Plus:
  • Knowledge of WACS/PACS; Knowledge of Microsoft Professional, UNIX (Solaris) and Linux operating systems
